Occuloplasty
Oculoplastic surgery is cosmetic and reconstructive procedure on the eyelids, orbit (bones and anatomic structures behind the eyeball) & lacrimal (ear drain) system. They can be found present since birth (congenital) or acquired later on in life. Most of the disorders are treatable if diagnosed and managed early in their course. CNLDO (Congenital Naso Lacrimal Duct Obstruction)
this is the condition found in infants who comes with a history of watering from one or both eyes. This is due to blockage of nasolacrimal duct. Tears accumulate in the lacrimal sac and constant watering as well as discharge found in the affected eye. This is condition is usually treated by lacrimal massage. Dacryocystitis
Infection of lacrimal sac due to obstruction of nasolacrimal duct at the junction of the lacrimal sac. It causes pain, redness & swelling over the inner aspect of the lower eyelid & epiphora.
